It would be GREAT if there was a rule disallowing people to post plot twists or movie endings in the comments thus RUINING the film on other members. It drives me INSANE when people do that - it's just plain mean. And rude as far as I'm concerned. Does that count?!

This IDIOT is just plain obnoxious contantly. Either he is making stupid remarks as above (ella enchanted) or he gives away the endings. I am so tired of not only him but others doing this. I really do LOVE this site and all the great movies you offer but I wish you would do away with the posting below the movies. Such negativity and utter rudeness. JUST the rating with the numbers would be enough for me and I am sure MANY others. It's really getting to be a big turn-0ff with people like this person being allowed to constantly post his other than intellegent sharings. TY for listening

Its him I was talking about - was just being discreet LOL!!!! But yeah, totally agree. He is ruining loads of movies by giving out plot endings or just being obnoxious. Maybe we should start a petition to get him barred! I certainly have no desire to be reading comments like that - it's outrageous. It's quite easy to just be polite - it's not a porn site or anything like it so that is just so uncalled for and inappropriate. I hadnt come across that one but a couple of others. It seems moderators hands are a bit tied though, they cannot remove the comments. That sucks. I think the only answer is to maybe warn him about it and if he does it again - ban him from the site????

But here's the problem ... people like this just don't seem to see how rude they are nor do they really care I am sure. I Do think they should be warned and if they still do not listen then they should be banned. This is such an awesome site and I do want to be here for as long as the site is available BUT I hope soon very soon something can be done about people leaving rude and/or discusting comments (and giving away the ending to the movie). As moderators, we only have control over the content of the forum, and when we ban members (as we do when spam or pornography is posted), it is only from the forum. For any who post spoilers without providing a spoiler alert in the forum, we edit the post to remove the spoiler.

As for the member in question - I believe admin has disabled that member from posting any new comments under the movies, but unfortunately, that doesn't remove the old posts. My suggestion for now is to not read the comments prior to viewing. Go to IMDb or a similar site to read the brief synopsis, and also check what members there have said regarding whether they felt it was worth watching. At least that will give you an idea if the movie is for you or not.

I actually think he might still be able to make comments. I had reported him to etworm a while ago and have seen comments after that time. I sent a pm to etworm to make sure he's gone altogether. He may be and it's probably what Barb has said, but I just want to be 100% sure!!
