Angry if horro movies without sounds

Can you image, horro movies without any sounds, could them be more horrible or less?

When I watch horro moive, in some terrified plots I will turn down the volume, it reduce a sense of fear. What do you do?

Personally turning down the sound makes it scarier.
Considering the tempo and sound in a horror movie changes right when something is going to jump out at you and whatnot, so to me, that's pretty much like a warning "Prepare yourself, we're going to attempt to scare you" which effectively ruins it for me because I am then naturally expecting it, thus resulting in me not being caught off guard and scared.

So, I tend not to watch horrors for that reason. I find them highly boring.
I recently watched Paranormal Activity 4, and I almost fell asleep. That said, I remember watching Sinister and there was one part that made me jump a little, even though the sound was playing on a faster tempo and it was (What I call) the suspense sound, it dragged on so long on one part that it caught me off guard. So kudos to them.
